In continuing my own growing obsession with Rebecca Dart's awesome Battle Kittens epic, I HAD to draw my own Battle Kitten so I can move on with my own art. I can't begin to describe how badly I want to jump into the pages of her comic and slaughter demons with a battle ax while riding a giant fluffy kitten! But hopefully this drawing gives some insight.

Gift of Battle Kitten Portrait

The effervescent Rebecca Dart, artist and animator extraordinaire, has bestowed upon me a gift of portraiture as thanks for posing as a Battle Kitten! I can't even begin to describe my elation at receiving this,  and the shoot itself, in which I donned a bikini and sword at the most (and bikini bottoms at the least!), was encouraging and empowering! As someone who has earned a few extra pounds over the last few years, this brief foray into full-blown body acceptance has made me drunk on confidence, and I am deeply appreciative to Rebecca for giving me the opportunity to heave around plastic weapons while half-naked in her living room. Warrior goddesses bless you, Rebecca!
